Pop Beauty "Lid Neon" Palette

Oct16

Starting at the outer corner it's the green shadow, yellow shadow, then a white shadow that isn't in the palette. Underneath the eye is the dark blue and the pink.

Though I wish I could claim this pretty bue-gray eye, it's not mine. I was at a friend's house and we were messing around with our makeup and naturally ended up working on each other. I decided to bust out this palette and have some fun with it. I've had it for almost a year now, but haven't shown pictures or reviewed it yet. :lazybones:

I bought this palette to do my sister's prom makeup with and ended up loving it. The only thing that disappointed me about it was that the colors take many coats to show their true, neon color. They actually go on really sheer. So an eye primer is a must when using these to get the full effect [unless you want it sheer, but then what''s the point of a neon palette!] I will say, though, that these blend wonderfully! Definitely a fun palette to play with and it makes me want to purchase other Pop Beauty products!

Blue-Lined Eyes

Oct05

The flash doesn't show the true color of the blue, it makes it seem much brighter and bolder than it actually is. But with the flash you can see the white eyeshadows better.

The dark blue pencil, light blue pencil, then the dark with light on top.

I really like to wear this look either during the summer at the beach, or during the winter when it's all snowy outside. :) This look also involves the Sephora Slim Eyeliner Pencils, which I would highly recommend. They glide on so easily, stay put, and are only $2-$4, now that is a great deal my friends!

Weapons:
*Sephora Slim Eye Pencil in Teal Blue #221
*Sephora Slim Eye Pencil in Lagoon #85
*Urban Decay Ammo Palette
*Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Yeyo
*Benefit Valley of the Stars
*Sephora Atomic Volume Mascara
*Benefit Mr. Frosty
*Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion

First I applied the UD primer over my entire lid, from lash line to crease. Then I applied a light layer of Mr. Frosty on my brow bone. Using an eyeshadow brush, I first applied a layer of UD Yeyo over the entire lid, then a layer of the white shadow in the Valley of the stars kit over the Yeyo. Then using a crease brush, I tapped it against UD Polyester Bride in the Ammo palette, and tapped it along my lid from the inner corner to the outer corner [this will cause some of the glitter to fall on your cheeks, so don't powder until after you've applied the shadow]. Once that was done, I lined my upper lash line and the outer 3/4 of my lower lash line with the Teal Blue pencil. Then I took the Lagoon liner and lightly traced over the top of the Teal Blue. In the pictures, the picture of both eyes is a truer representation of what the liner looks like in real life. The flash catches the Lagoon and really makes the liner look much brighter and bolder than it actually looks. Also, there's the picture of the liners on my wrist so you can see what the Teal Blue and Lagoon look like by themselves and then mixed together. I really like to use the teal blue by itself too. I added a couple of coats of mascara and I was finished!
