This is one of my favorite palettes in my makeup case! It's very versatile and you can create so many different looks with it. In these photos, I've used the lavendar on my lids, the beige lavender in my crease, and the dark brown on the outer corners.
Pigment: Light and shimmery
Blendability: 8 out of 10
Staying Power: 9 out of 10
Buildable: Very, you can do one layer for a very light shimmer of color, or several layers for a darker color.
I like to use the peach on the lid and the dark brown around the outer corners and smudged along my lashlines for a neutral smokey eye. The beige and lavender is very pretty when combined together, and the dark brown makes a great smokey eye when used all over the lid and smudged onto the lower lash line. Another thing about this palette I like is that it's shimmer, but not overly so. I know the flash makes it look ultra shimmery, but in normal lighting it's very subtle and work appropriate!
I haven't used this palette in a while, so I broke it out again the other day and really liked the neutral eye I ended up with!
Weapons used:
*Too Faced Quickie Chronicle in "The Fabulous Flirt"
*Sephora Atomic Volume Mascara
*Clinique Lash Primer
*Urban Decay's Eye Primer Potion
*Benefit's Mr. Frosty
*Mac Mineralized Skinfinish in Lightscapade
First I applied the Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion over my entire lid, from lash line to crease. Then I lightly applied the Mr. Frosty on my brow bone. Using the Sephora Professional Eyeshadow Brush, I dusted the light beige from the palette all over my lid. Next, I took the Sephora Professional Crease Brush and dusted the pink on the outter corners of my eyes. I went back and forth with the brushes, blending both of the colors to my liking. Then I took the Sephora Professional Smudge brush and lined my upper lash line and the outter corner of my lower lash line with the dark brown. I wish you could see it better in the pictures, but the flash washed the color out. I really liked lining my eyes with this color because it isn't such a harsh, definite line, but it still provide definition. I finished by curling my lashes and applying the Clinique Primer and then two coats of the Sephora mascara.
I used the blush in the palette to round out the look, but these blushes are very matte. I don't want it to be so obvious I'm wearing blush, so I applied a light coat of the MAC Skinfinish over the blush, and it definitely made it look more natural.
Went out with the girls the other night and decided to use this look!
Weapons Used:
*Too Faced Quickie Chronicle in Summer Lover
*Urban Decay Ammo Palette
*Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Yeyo
*Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion
*Benefit Mr. Frosty
*Sephora Eye Pencil in 222
*Sephora Professional Crease Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, and Smudge Brush.
First I applied the Urban Decay Primer potion from lash line to crease line. Using the crease brush, I coated it with the dark purple from The Summer Lover Palette and starting at the outer corner of my eye, slowly starting blending the color toward the center of my eye [making sure to coat the lid from lash line to crease]. Then I coated the eyeshadow brush with Urban Decay Yeyo, and starting from the inner corner of my eye, I slowly started blending this toward the dark purple. When I reached the dark purple line, I continued to blend the Yeyo out over the purple until well blended. Next, I used my white Sephora liner to line the inner corner of my lower lash, blending the liner out. With the smudge brush, I lined my upper lid with Oil Slick from the Urban Decay Ammo Palettel. Using the corner of the brush, I also lined the outer corner of my lower lash with Oil Slick. After applying Mr. Frosty on my brow bone, I curled my lashes and applied two coats of Covergirl's Lashblast Mascara in Very Black. :)
